Baint Npcs and Factions
Henry Dyson
Major Spirit Sentient broom, member of the Cleaners (it doesn't think that they know, but they fucking know). Has a doll strapped to its back, and its handle is painted with beautiful flowers and vines. Oldest member of the company. Is secretly the spirit of the city of Baint.
Hasher
A resident of Baint. Dhampir. Obsessed with the tidiness of the city. Walks around with a poky stick and bag to keep the place clean.
Kassie
Member of the Wyverns and incredibly proud of her work in the community. Quick to temper, and has rigid rules about respectability. Aunt to the players in K&C. Co-owner of the Tranquil Tides.
Kellie
More timid and easy going than her sister. Seems to favour girls over boys but does her best by all of her charges. Aunt to the players in K&C. Co-owner of the Tranquil Tides.
Chef Carbone
Half Elf resident. Famous for his cuisine, his food is his art. People travel far and wide to taste his food. Has a 6 seater boat (himself and five others), and only feeds people on it. The waiting list is ridiculous.
Ailmon Omacan
Old Elf who runs and gathers objects and stories for the Lost Museum. Was present at the time of the prophecy. Has to strike out every few years to find new things. Self-appointed expert on gnomish technology. Often goes on 'excursions' with little to no warning - but he always brings back sweets and presents for Lana. Very excitable and loves the new and the novel (to him).
Lana Omacan
Now an older human woman, she looks more like Ailmon's mother than his daughter. She used to go on adventures with him, but that was a long time ago. She takes her position as protector of the Lost Museum and all of the things in it (even if they are just replicas) a lot more seriously than Ailmon. She takes life in general more seriously than Ailmon, and he is the only one she has a soft spot for. In fact, he is the only one who doesn't see her as a stern old lady.
Elena Magrigal
Middle-aged human woman. Government worker. Generational job, main competition for her job is her sisters and cousins. Person in charge of planning events, parades, festivals, diplomats from other nations. The persons who is involved with all major social events within the city.
Lumie Lacant
Tiefling who looks almost entirely human except for the pink hue in her blonde hair. Paper lantern seller. Make very intricate and personalised paper lanterns for people to write their own names and the name of the one they love.
Willow
The Princess in the tower in Baint. She favours handsome young men, gives them little warm kisses and small blessings when they visit her tower. Took on the form of Wilheim's sister after Willow accidently left an offering at the top of the tower after climbing up to spy on someone and leaving behind her lunch.
Jonah Tellah-Re
Third son of the family. Left in charge at home while the others gained power and influence. Fucked it up. Current whereabouts unknown. Last seen travelling with Mr Ruby to meet a mysterious woman who would help him get revenge.
Mr Ruby
Man of unknown origins and motive helping the cult. Claims to be a visitor from a kingdom on the Eastern continent. Last seen leaving Baint.
Officer Surns
Corrupt guard, working with the cult. Very dismissive and rude individual. Very large and well-trimmed moustache.
Mister Graves
Yes, he's a undertaker called Graves. Yes, he had heard all of the jokes. A sombre man who is professionally agitated by recent events.
Mister Keanes
Mister Graves's son-in-law. Married to his daughter Denise. Cultist, been selling on unclaimed corpses for awhile not to Mister Caine for medical students to practise with. A failed jeweller who hates his job, but can spot a good ring on a body. Resents his wife and father-in-law despite them saving him from destitution. Currently in Locke's 'care'.
Lady Danbur-Re
Important and powerful noble. Widow who does not get on with the Tellah-Res.
Nicola Reedly
Her sister Josie had her body stolen. The police claimed that her sister jumped in the river, but Nicola knew that Josie (a maid in the Tellah-Re house) was spending time with a charming nobleman. (Benedict. She was asking too many questions after he left for Sionnach.)
Locke Matters
(Think the artful Dodger) A bit of a scoundrel who recently did a whip-round of his associates to bury another associate. Wants his money's worth. Knows that Mister Caine is involved with the bodies going missing and is looking for a way to get back at him, without endangering himself.
Factions
The Order of the Flowers
Faction. A remnant of wartime planting, when all growing in the city had to be regimented for the growing of food and ingredients (ala victory gardens). Partly set up to keep former knights who got too old to fight busy, and partly out of utility. Now it has morphed into festival use, competitive gardening, the flower trade (which is huge) and as a way for petty, power-hungry, self-important people to abuse any little power they gain.
The Wyvrens
A faction voluntary group of people that own magic brooms that work with the city guard. Report crimes as they come across them.
Cult of the Great Eyed dragon
Started by the Tellah-Re noble family following a chance encounter with a 'Beholder', this cult is trying to gain power within the city and is attempting to spread their influence elsewhere.
