Kobolds

There are many kobold clans roaming the lands. As a species, they migrate South for the Winter. They do not like being in the dangers of the Bone Lands, but being cold-blooded, they cannot stay in colder places.

All Kobolds share the same creation myth. A mighty dragon stood between the Great Storm (the Chaos, many believe) and its favourite people. A few of its scales were torn from it by the fierce winds and when they landed, they turned into Kobolds. The dragon was destroyed in this venture, but the Kobolds saved the day and the other people and so its sacrifice was not in vain.

However...they can't remember anything about the people they saved except that they were small. So most of the clans have decided that it is their life duty to protect either goblins, gnomes, halfling, dwarves or anything basically a bit short. The clans have had fierce battles and wars while the two species of short people they are fighting about have a nice dinner, completely unaware of what's happening.

Many Kobolds died during the war, trying to save as many gnomes as they could. Often fighting against Kobold who believed that dwarves were the favoured people.

They all agree that it wasn't Kenkus or any other type of bird creature though. Because scales over feathers.
